This week Sew4u's sister company, Window Works Studio, Inc., created a different kind of dress. We made six, lace up slipcovers for a set of dining room chairs. Sew4u has laced up many brides over the years. It's neat to be lacing up a chair. The slipcover has gathered sections over each front leg, flaring out like a skirt. The backs were laced up with matching grosgrain ribbon. Slipcovers are a great way to get extra mileage out of your furniture and totally change the feel of a room. Sew4u can take care of your wardrobe needs. Window Works Studio, Inc. can help is dressing your home. Check out their gallery at WindowWorksStudio.com.
Recently one of our clients, Cheryl Hucks brought in a mink coat that needed to be redesigned. The coat was too long, too boxy and too "big" in the shoulders. We were able to shorten the coat to the appropriate length, add darts in the back to make the coat fitted at the waist and shorten the shoulder seam. The mink coat looks awesome on this lovely lady!
We have had past clients with similar issues. Fur coats can be updated and repaired in many ways to give them new life. Spring is around the corner, but there are still cold days ahead. Let us know if you have a coat that needs the "Sew4u" touch! |
